There has been a lot of secrecy surrounding the premium economy seat from Qantas. The new business and economy configurations were released months ago with the promise of a revoluntionary premium economy product yet to be unveiled.
In an earlier post, I wondered if we might see a customised version of the Thompson Aero CozySuite. But, it seems that Qantas’ definition of revoluntionary is a little different to mine.
This is what it looks like…
It’s nice. But when the marketing department throws around buzz words and such suspense, your mind pictures something slightly more amazing doesn’t it?
I’d actually like to see this product in real life because the actual leg room looks quite limited. And, we haven’t seen any pictures of what this seat looks like in the 3-across design.
Configuration of the Qantas Boeing 787 Dreamliner
Here’s a quick refresher on what the cabin classes will be like inside of the aircraft.
Business – 42 Seats in a 1-2-1 configuration
Premium Economy – 28 seats in a 2-3-2 configuration
Economy – 166 seats in a 3-3-3 configuration
What do you think of the new Qantas Premium Economy product? Does it live up to all of the hype?
